by Dawson Lane 2024 Gold Racquet The 2024 Gold Racquet was one of the largest on record with 70 Court Tennis Matches & 71 Rackets matches played over the long President’s Weekend. Racquets Director Tim Chisholm gave fair warning to the participants that matches will be played at all hours; and to the players credit only (2) pulled out for very good reasons, and we picked up (3) last minute players. Eleven teams entered the tournament this year and were split into two groups of five and six teams, with all teams playing four matches and the top two qualifying for the finals. by John Lumley The Racquet Club of Philadelphia hosted its third successful tournament in two weeks in the form of the Percy Cup. The ever-jolly event was played with a lot of competitive but sporting spirit and was enjoyed by all the players and traveling supporters involved. The main draw was tense right the way to the last match on… Read the Full Story >

By an interested observer The 2024 Noll Cup was contested at the Racquet Club of Chicago from February 2nd – 4th. We had 8 players travel to Chicago from New York, Boston, Aiken, Louisville and Washington D.C. There was also a strong field of 15 Chicago players and there were two notable performances in the early rounds. One of those performances goes to Boston’s John Eder, who played much better than his handicap would have suggested in pushing Aiken’s Sawyer Duncan all the way to a 6-5 in the 3rd set battle. The other tremendous performance goes to Chicago’s Ally… Read the Full Story >

It was the seventy-second time the Open had been held, and it was one of the very best. After two World Eliminator events in the late spring of 2023, the Racquet Club of Philadelphia’s Pro Shop didn’t miss a beat… Read the Full Story >
