On June 20, 2022 the court tennis community celebrated International Tennis Day, from Ballarat to Newport, the tennis courts were busy with singles and double matches. Players proudly posed for the now traditional photo holding the ITD banner.   Also, in celebration of International Tennis Day, the USCTA announced the launch of its new introduction to court tennis page, “Get Involved in Court Tennis”. From the Racquet Club of Philadelphia: Edward Noll 1950 – 2015 It is with great sadness that our Club mourns the passing of one of the most beloved men to ever serve the membership. Edward Noll departed this world the morning of Thursday December 17th, though his legacy lives on having been weaved into the memories of our members. In his youth, Ed studied under the tutelage of Jimmy Dunn and made a modest living sewing tennis balls and stringing racquets . U.S. Cockram Players Bond Over the Pond By Steve Hufford In spite of having seven players from five different clubs, or perhaps because of it, the US Cockram Trophy squad quickly formed a cohesive cadre of teammates, cheering each other on and providing useful advice, consolation, and congratulations. 2015 Bathurst Cup

By Ben Cook The United States headed to Hobart, Tasmania in early April looking to compete with the world’s best amateur players in the 2015 Bathurst Cup. Captain Ben Cook of Charleston, SC who was making his second consecutive Bathurst appearance led this year’s squad. Joining him were first-timers Pat Winthrop of Newport, RI and Jon Crowell of Philadelphia, PA.  The Americans, as did the three other countries, arrived two days early to check out the freshly renovated Hobart court.
