The Racquet Club of Philadelphia enjoyed an extraordinary weekend hosting the 2025 Jimmy Dunn Tournament. With 191 players competing in 294 matches, every draw across the Club’s four distinguished sports was filled—many athletes even took part in multiple divisions. Court tennis alone featured seven divisions, setting the tone for a packed, high-energy schedule.

Play began at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and continued non-stop through the weekend, with matches running nearly around the clock—from first serves at 7 a.m. to final points at 11 p.m. Spectators were treated to a steady stream of thrilling, high-level competition across racquets, court tennis, squash, and doubles squash. The combination of continuous action and an enthusiastic crowd created a truly electric atmosphere throughout the Club.

Saturday’s adrenaline-filled semifinals flowed seamlessly into the magnificent Winter Wonderland–themed black-tie dinner and dance. The raw bar set the tone for the evening, followed by a delicious three-course meal and a fantastic live band that kept the celebration going late into the night.

The weekend concluded with a full slate of nail-biting finals on Sunday, each showcasing exceptional skill, spirited competition, and tremendous sportsmanship across all levels. The sense of community was palpable, making this year’s tournament one to remember.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone whose participation and support made the 2025 Jimmy Dunn Tournamentsuch a success. We look forward to welcoming you back next November to the 45th annual edition.
