Ogden Mills Phipps – 1940-2016

Ogden Mills Phipps, known as Dinny, passed away on April 6. Earlier this month, the USCTA announced that Phipps would be one of two inductees for the International Court Tennis Hall of Fame for 2016. More than a hundred and fifty people attended the dinner, which was chaired by Brian Owens and Dan Laukitis. We had another incredible Jimmy Dunn weekend down here in Philadelphia, with all the draws filled to the brim. We were also blessed to host the World Championship Racquets between defending champion, James Stout and challenger, William Hopton. We witnessed the best racquets ever played here with James Stout winning the first leg four games to love. The Tennis saw the biggest turnout in Jimmy Dunn history with 88 players participating.
