On the 1st weekend in March 15, juniors descended on Washington DC for the 2012 National Championships. Surprisingly, the Under 12’s had the most entries. Harry Simonds, Blanche Devine, and Arthur Browne started their Court Tennis tournament careers in fine fashion and despite not making it to the finals had all clearly improved their handicaps by at least 5 points over the course of the weekend. In the U12 girl’s final the 2010 champion, Kornelia Mostrous dominated the service end for long enough to secure a 10/5 win over Blanche Devine. Despite some excellent retrieving, powerhouse Chase Motz eventually succumbed… Read the Full Story >

The Court Tennis version of March Madness happened last weekend in Philadelphia as 21 veteran players competed to win national championships in the 40 and 50 singles and doubles tournaments.  The age level tournaments were a war of attrition as veteran players tried to survive injuries, fierce competition and social events to bring home a title or two.
