Format: Georgian Court University Women’s Team vs. RCOP Women’s Team
On April 24th, 2012 five brave undergraduate women from Georgian Court University – women that have participated all year long in our inaugural GCU Intramural Court Tennis Club Clinics run by omnipresent Neil Smith – these five women came to Philadelphia for a challenge match with the RCOP women. A hybrid format was used to evenly match the women from both clubs, and suffice it to say the match finished in a well-fought draw. This is the first time in several years that a collegiate court tennis team of any sort in the U.S. has played a formal fixture, and we look forward to having an even fuller calendar of matches next year for the CGU women.
