The Racquet & Tennis Club hosted matches on April 7 and April 26 for the National League Challenge Series. APRIL 7 MATCH On Thursday, April 7th the Racquet and Tennis Club hosted its first inter-club match since the pandemic began. It was yet another reminder of how life is slowly returning to normal at the club. The event boasted thirty participants and twelve, three set matches, all well contested and in played good spirit. Report by an interested observer The Racquet Club of Chicago was thrilled to see Professional Court Tennis return with the season’s first National League Challenger Series match. It was a moonlit, bitterly cold night in Newport, Rhode Island, but inside the National Tennis Club at the International Tennis Hall of Fame there could not have been a warmer reception by the packed house for the stars of the court tennis world. On Thursday, February 7th, the Racquet Club of Chicago hosted the New England team in the debut of the 2019 USCTA Court Tennis National League. A partisan crowd of 75 members was keen to cheer on Chicago to victory over an in-form New England team.
