2017 U.S. Junior Handicap Results Prince’s Court U13- Jakob Bregenhoj def. Avi Fruman 10-9 U15 – Lydia Danas def. Robert Chitic 10-4 U17 – Keawe Johnson def. Eddie Johnson 10-7 U19 – Dawson Chisholm def. Michael Haley 10-5 There were eighteen entries in this year’s event at Prince’s Court. Newport’s Jakob Bregenhoj took the U13 final in a nail biter, 10/9 against Avi Fruman despite losing 6/1 when they played in the round robin two days earlier. Jimmy Dunn Recap: This year’s Jimmy Dunn was another big one with 154 entrants playing in 16 different categories through Racquets, Doubles Squash, Singles Squash and Doubles Tennis. The Singles Squash was the biggest we have ever had due to the 3 new courts. The matches started Thursday at 2pm and finished Sunday at 5pm with 275 matches being played in total. Seeing the Racquet Club and the whole club being used in full capacity would make the founders proud of where the club has got to. Meringoff wins Jimmy Knott Memorial Singles Tournament By Jeffrey Horine Second seeded Todd Meringoff weathered 14 sets on court on Saturday and a 4-2 first set deficit on Sunday to defeat the top seeded Brook Hazelton 6/4 6/2 in the finals of the Jimmy Knott Memorial held at Boston’s Tennis & Racquet Club in Boston from October 14-16.
