The Board of Governors, professional staff and membership of the Racquet Club of Chicago are pleased to announce the addition of Steve Virgona as Head Tennis Professional beginning June 30th 2012. Steve comes to us via the Racquet Club of Philadelphia where he has been Senior Professional since 2006.
Steve is the World number two-ranked player and just competed in the World Real Tennis Championship at Queen’s Club in London last month. Steve is the winner of many championships that include the national opens in Australia, US and the UK. He is the current World Doubles Champion (with World Singles Champion Robert Fahey) since 2003.
The Racquet Club is truly excited to have a player and individual of Steve’s calibre who will be integral in re-establishing the game after a 76 year absence in Chicago.
