The 22nd USCTA Annual Dinner, Awards and Auction will take place Friday, December 13th, 2019 at the Racquet and Tennis Club, 370 Park Avenue. Please join us to welcome William T. Vogt to the Hall of Fame Class of 2019 and award the 2019 Plimpton Prize to Richard Travers who is traveling from Australia for the evening.
The cocktails and silent auction will start promptly at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner, awards and live auction at 7:30 pm. Brook Hazelton will once again handle the live auction and we look forward to some fierce bidding. The link for the auction catalog can be found below. They include golf outings at The County Club (Brookline, MA) and Sleepy Hollow County Country Club (Briarcliff Manor, NY), a weeklong stay at a stunning 6-bedroom chateau in France (Dordogne countryside), a weeklong stay at a beautiful London flat, an oceanfront weekend getaway at the Black Point Inn (Prouts Neck, Maine), a two-night stay at the magnificent Rockefeller Suite at the Greystone Inn (Lake Toxaway, North Carolina), and an overnight trip to and a day of fishing on one of the premier fly fishing streams in the eastern United States at the Pohaqualine Fish Association.
Similar to last December, the final item of the live auction will be the paddle raise for Lot 12 – Support our Tennis Professionals. Lot 12 raised a little over $28,000 from 26 supporters increasing the national sponsorship program funds added to the prize money for the U.S. Open, National Open, U.S. Professional Singles playing for the Schochet Cup, Ladies U.S. Open and the USCTA National League.
We encourage you to submit absentee bids (including Lot 12 contributions) no later than Noon on Friday, December 13, 2019, for any of the lots listed on the catalog. On Saturday, the USCTA is sponsoring the luncheon, so make sure to stop by the Dining Room of the Club as you take a break from watching or playing in the Whitney Cup matches.
