THE REAL TENNIS WORLD SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE PLAYED AT LONDON’S QUEEN’S CLUB FROM TUESDAY 24TH to SATURDAY 28TH APRIL

This is the oldest continuous world championship in any sport having started as far back as 1740.
The current world champion is Camden Riviere (31) of the USA, who became the champion in 2016.
The challenger is Rob Fahey (49) of Australia who lost his title to Riviere in 2016, having held it for 22 years.
The match is the best of 13 sets with 4 sets on 24th, 4 sets on 26th, and as many as are needed for one player to get to 7 sets on 28th.
Real Tennis at world championship level is the most spectacular of racquet and ball sports, being far more physical than lawn tennis.
Fahey has fought it out with three other top ranked players to become the official challenger.
