The event coincided with the Rackets U.S. Amateur Singles and Doubles Tournaments. By having all three events simultaneously, the size and depth of each draw was enhanced significantly. Tuxedo takes home the Percy Cup
2017 Percy Cup by John Lumley With another sold out Percy Cup, eight teams descended upon Philadelphia to try and win the coveted title! New York the defending champions fielded two teams along with Philadelphia fielding two teams. Tuxedo, Washington, Newport and Aiken all had teams in as well. The 2017 National Level Single Championships – the Super Bowl of tennis – were held on Super Bowl weekend. Georgian Court University to Host Court Tennis Exhibition
Lakewood, N.J., February 17, 2017—Georgian Court University will host a court tennis exhibition match on Thursday, February 23, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Casino building on GCU’s historic Lakewood campus. The match will pit Camden Riviere, GCU’s newest pro and the current men’s world champion and men’s doubles world champion (world ranked #1) against John Lumley, assistant professional at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia (world ranked #11). 2017 U.S. Junior Handicap Results Prince’s Court U13- Jakob Bregenhoj def. Avi Fruman 10-9 U15 – Lydia Danas def. Robert Chitic 10-4 U17 – Keawe Johnson def. Eddie Johnson 10-7 U19 – Dawson Chisholm def. Michael Haley 10-5 There were eighteen entries in this year’s event at Prince’s Court.
