The T&R hosted the Jimmy Knott Memorial Singles; an event formerly known as the Boston A Invitational that was renamed in 1996 the year after Jimmy Knott won the event and passed away. This year’s event saw a slightly different format, with the tournament adopting a round robin style event. This meant that the players were guaranteed at least 3 competitive matches to help build match toughness as we move into the season. In the U23 Singles Erik Barker and Freddie Bristowe had one of the matches of the tournament with Bristowe taking it 5-6 6-5 6-5 to progress him into the semifinals! Riviere Wins 8th Straight U.S. Pro Singles Title

Camden Riviere defeated Rob Fahey 5-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3 to win his eighth straight U.S. Pro Singles playing for the Schochet Cup title.  Barney Tanfield defeated Darren Long 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to win the U.S. Pro Singles Satellite title.  Amy Wintersteen/CJ White won the Pro/Am title 6-5 over Carey/J. The 2017 USCTA Mixed Doubles had a small, but enthusiastic group of six teams representing 5 U.S. based clubs: The Tuxedo Club Prince’s Court National Tennis Club Boston Tennis & Racquet Club New York Racquet & Tennis Club Quarter-Finals The 1st quarter-final match was Francine Maitland & Dan Laukitis play smart & efficiently in a routine 6/0 6/2 victory over Jeanne Heffernan & Charles deCasteja.
