The 2013 World Masters will be held in NY on May 17-24, 2013. The Championships will Consist of singles and doubles competitions for players in the following age brackets: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and over. You are eligible for that age group if you reach that age in 2013. Entry Forms and Information are attached. JOHN M. MIRKIL JOHN M. MIRKIL of Bryn Mawr, formerly of Villanova, a two war veteran and retired real estate broker, died on January 12, 2013. Mr. Mirkil was originally a resident of West Chester and attended the William Penn Charter School and St. George’s School in Middletown, R.I. He left school to enlist in the Marine Corps during World War II and served two tours. On 12/12/12, I attempted to play 12 straight hours of tennis at Prince’s Court in support of my charitable initiative “12 Rounds”. A phrase like “well conditioned” is not usually associated with yours truly, so it was anyone’s guess as to what would happen with such a undertaking. I am pleased to report that I was able to complete all 12 Rounds and would like to thank my manager Ivan Ronaldson and my 18 opponents who made such a feat possible.
