The 2013 US Amateur was played in Washington. Pat Winthrop defeated Danny McBride 6/3,6/0, 6/3 to capture the singles title. Bill Barker & Neil Mackenzie defeated Brad Allen & Danny McBride to win the doubles. The score was 6/4, 3/6 ,6/5, 6/4.

What a great weekend of tennis! Both draws were filled in Philly for the Anne Boleyn and U.S. Mixed doubles. The Anne Boleyn was competitive from start to finish. Ruth Kelley from Philadelphia who has been logging in many hours in on the tennis court proved to be the right formula to win against hard hitting Francine Royan. Ruth over took Francine with her classical back wall play 10 games to 5. National league Results from February 19th: The night started out with Assistant Pro Gabe Kinzler licking his chops to take out Head Pro Rob Whitehouse. After Gabe’s solid display of tennis at the US Open just a few weeks ago, and after he took the first set 6/1, it looked like Kinzler was going to have is way with Rob. Wow, we were heading into a record breaking weekend and Tuxedo was ready to welcome the many players, friends and guests to the Park, we came into the Gold Racquets weekend with great anticipation.
