2014 U.S. OPEN By Barney Tanfield From January 23rd– 31st the Racquet and Tennis Club hosted the 2014 U.S. Open Championship of Court Tennis. The Arctic Vortex pulverizing New York City greeted several of the players freshly having arrived from the Australian Open where temperatures were merely 100 degrees warmer. * Tuxedo Eliminator Info: Chisholm vs. Riviere
Tuxedo will host the first leg of the eliminator series between Tim Chisholm and Camden Riviere. The match will take place on February 13. Info on the match can be found here. The second and third (if needed) will be played in Newport on February 22 & 24.
* 1st Round Eliminator – Virgona vs. Sayers

* Change in Location for US 60s
The US 60s singles and doubles for amateur players over the age of 60 has been moved to Chicago. The dates remain the same – March 21-23. The 70s will be remain in New York on March 21-23. The AB Martin Cup -scheduled for March 20 – has been cancelled. Tournament information on both events will be posted soon.
*Tuxedo Gold Racquet Weekend
Tuxedo will host the 112th Gold Racquets Tournament on February 14-17, 2014. The entry information and forms are attached. Prior to the start of the Gold Racquets weekend, Tuxedo will host the first leg of the World Championship Eliminator Series between Tim Chisholm and Camden Riviere.
