Twenty-six competitors representing eight U.S. clubs sought the title. The tournament has served as a notable springboard for many top players, particularly over the last few years. This year’s simplified eligibility requirements ensure that the Etchebaster remains focused on talented new players. John Saxe took an early lead with aggressive volleying and target hitting. From the Racquet Club of Philadelphia: Edward Noll 1950 – 2015 It is with great sadness that our Club mourns the passing of one of the most beloved men to ever serve the membership. Edward Noll departed this world the morning of Thursday December 17th, though his legacy lives on having been weaved into the memories of our members. 2015 Whitney Cup By Barney Tanfield The 82nd Whitney Cup was hosted by the Racquet and Tennis Club December 11-13th. The Whitney remains one of the true highlights in the USCTA calendar, drawing the very best players from each club in the states. Six teams consisting of ten players each competed for the title.
