National league Results from February 19th:
The night started out with Assistant Pro Gabe Kinzler licking his chops to take out Head Pro Rob Whitehouse. After Gabe’s solid display of tennis at the US Open just a few weeks ago, and after he took the first set 6/1, it looked like Kinzler was going to have is way with Rob. Rob recovered well in the second set with great retrieving and finding the dedans on a number of shots. The third set was a battle throughout with Rob hanging on to take the match 6/5.
The second match was a rematch of the semi-final US Open. Tim Chisholm was set to redeem himself against Steve Virgona, and that he did with an awesome display of tennis with a straight sets win 6/2, 6/2. Chisholm had his legs under him with incredible retrievals and was pin point with his return of serve for the entire match.
The doubles saw Virgona- Kinzler over come Chisholm – Whitehouse 8/5. Virgona and Kinzler were hitting targets with high pace and were too strong for Whitehouse and Chisholm to handle
