Finally, a real tennis player on the Hill. Tom Wilson is running for Congress. Currently the mayor of Tuxedo, NY, Tom is seeking to be a member of the House of Representatives serving New York’s 19th congressional district. (The district is currently represented by a Republican, Nan Hayworth; Tom is running as a Democrat and faces two other candidates in the Democratic primary in June 2012.) A 25 handicapper, Tom is a member of the Tuxedo Whitney Cup team and an active tournament player. Tom would be the first member of Congress with a passing knowledge of tennis since Claiborne Pell stepped down as Senator from Rhode Island in January 1997. For more Tom and his campaign, see:
