2024 U.S. Women’s National Championship

The 2024 U.S. Women’s National Court Tennis Championships brought together a lively group of players from across the East Coast, making for a weekend packed with intense matches and memorable moments.
Friday started off with first-round clashes. Libby Gephart, known for her strong game, cruised past Kelly Patrick. Meanwhile, Elisabeth McMorris and Alexis Dorr showed their skills, earning spots in the quarterfinals with solid wins.
Saturday morning heated up with quarterfinal action. The top seeds dominated, but the highlight was Claire Voegele’s tight win over Victoria Scott, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
After the quarters, a back draw added some fun, with Priscilla Person edging out Kelly Patrick in a close contest being determined on count back with games lost.
In the semis, Annie Clark and Emily Young powered through to set up an epic final. Clark controlled the court against Voegele, while Young played some solid tennis to take down Xanthe Ranger in straight sets.
But the most thrilling moment came in the championship match. Clark started strong, her lightning speed putting her in the lead. Yet, Young found her rhythm, moving with precision and gradually turning the tide. The crowd erupted as Young fought back, eventually sealing the deal with a 6-4, 6-3 victory and claiming the title of 2024 U.S. Women’s National Court Tennis Champion.
The event wrapped up with cheers and applause, showing the talent and promise in women’s court tennis. It was a weekend of fierce competition and camaraderie, leaving everyone excited for what’s next in the game.
