The 2012 Jay Gould Cup was held on May 4th & 5th in Lakewood, NJ at the famed Georgian Court. As always, a lot of great tennis was played by all, with teams coming in from Boston, Newport, Tuxedo and Philadelphia. After a competitive round of group play during the day, under the watchful eye of our neighboring pro Gabe Kinzler, a hard fought victory was won in the final by the team of Gary Barnes and Chris Bernabei, winning over Paul Monaghan and Schuyler Wickes by a score of 10-6. A festive day of tennis and mariachi music was enjoyed by all, easily finding common ground between Cinco de Mayo and our Jay Gould celebration.
