The Tennis PROFESSIONAL Description
The Tennis Professional reports to the Head Professional and works closely with the rest of the Pro Shop staff and Athletics Committee to manage the day-to-day needs of the Pro Shop, including teaching lessons at all levels, record keeping and billing, partner-matching, administration of in-house leagues, running tournaments, stringing racquets and sewing balls.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and an outgoing, friendly manner. S/he will possess outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle many tasks at once.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Marketing racquet sport participation to members
• Managing and administrating various internal initiatives and programs to increase participation in Court Tennis
• Overseeing the growth and development of junior programs
• Teaching private lessons and maintaining a loyal customer base of athletes
• Liaising informal matches
• Corresponding with members on a daily basis
• Working with other members of the Racquet Club staff to execute events
• Daily equipment management, including stringing racquets and sewing balls

• The ability to teach at all levels and abilities
• Organizational skills to manage and market Pro Shop events as well as the day-to-day
operations of the Pro Shop
